Mission Statement
The mission of Bay Shore Youth Lacrosse is to promote the great game of lacrosse to the girls and boys of Bay Shore starting in kindergarten through 6th grade. We are committed to teaching sportsmanship, the power of teamwork and to helping each child develop as a lacrosse player.
We hope our youth program can lay the foundation for our youngsters to continue their lacrosse careers in the upper grades. By facilitating a positive, safe and competitive lacrosse experience, our players will gain valuable life experience from being on a team with the common goal of becoming better together and having fun.
At each grade level, our program will incorporate age-appropriate lacrosse skills and game knowledge. Every participant, regardless of initial skill level and age, will have the opportunity to learn the game and develop individual and teamwork skills in the game of lacrosse.
We aim to prepare our players for middle school and high school play, and we are assisted by the Varsity program in this goal.
